Be You. Find You. Be Happy with that!

“The more you know who you are, and what you want, the less you let things upset you.”

Last weekend I had a wonderful day with one of my best friends. We do this quite regularly. Such a day always gives me a lot of energy. We had a wonderful lunch, enjoyed the moment, and talked about our lives. Ups and downs. :-) We also compared ourselves to who we were and who we are now. We concluded that we are both happier with ourselves then we were ever before.

I thought about it today and I do think it has to with some fundamental basics. Some simple rules to live by. At least Rules that I Try to live by. A different mindset. Being more aware of who you are. Add some life experience and you’re set. Promise. ;-)

Be your true self and realize your own worth. “To be beautiful means to be Yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.” Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Avoid comparing yourself with others. Each of us is special, because we are different one from the other.

Be Confident. Believe in yourself. “She turned her can’t-s into can-s & her dreams into plans” As we know ourselves better than before, we know our own strengths and weaknesses. Whatever you do – believe in your own powers, your own potential and your own goodness. Always believe in yourself – because if you don’t – then who will?

Have Faith. Have Trust. Have faith that things will work out, maybe not how you planned, but just how it’s meant to be. Trust that everything happens for a reason, even when you’re not wise enough to see it.

Attitude is key.  “The only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude”. I do believe that we are who we choose to be. Nobody is going to come and save you. You’ve got to save yourself. Nobody is going to give you anything; you’ve got to go out and fight for it.

Carpe Diem. Live your life one day at a time. Take care of this moment. Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. And be aware of the things and feelings around you. Enjoy the moment more!
