You are Stronger than You Think
While I was doing a Pilates lesson recently, I was triggered by the sentence “You are stronger than you think”. I thought about it and reflected it on my current personal and work situation. I feel happier now than I felt a year ago. What has changed? Why do I feel better?
I know now it has to do with my attitude. I’ve learned that we are indeed stronger than we believe, but the crux is that we don’t see it. We set our standards too high. We underestimate ourselves. We need to change our attitude and believe in ourselves more. Our attitude is everything! “Life is 20% of what happens to you and 80% how you react to it”.
I just wanted to share my experience and I do believe there are 3 key elements that made me feel better in the end. It all begins with establishing a (1) strong and positive attitude. A strong attitude will force you to (2) believe in yourself, believe in your powers and believe in your abilities. And last but not least: (3) Be you and love yourself.
1. Positive attitude
“The only person you are destined to become, is the person you decide to be” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
We all have problems, and we’re often tested by circumstances outside of our control. Even though you may not be in control of what’s going on outside of you, you most definitely can control your reactions to those situations. You have more control than you think. I do believe that we are who we choose to be!
2. Believe in yourself
“Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle”– Christian D. Larson
Whatever you do – believe in your own powers, your own potential and your own goodness. Always believe in yourself – because if you don’t – then who will?
3.Be You & Love Yourself
“To be beautiful means to be Yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself”
Cut out the distractions, open your eyes, and see that you already have everything in your possession to be happy, loved, and fulfilled. Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Avoid comparing yourself with others. You are unique just as you are. Be kind to yourself. You are absolutely more capable and worthy than you give yourself credit for!!!!!
Wonderful and true, and just what I needed too! thank you for this fantastic post! As always much love! Ute
